Hope someone can help me because I seem to be doing this wrong so here goes...

I have a starting formation (my first team!) who play until I'm leading by 6+ goals. If this occurs I want to put my youth team on to gain experience so have them down as formation 1. This works fine by asking them to come on at any time if leading by 6+ goals but...

How do I get my first team back on to the field if my youth side are struggling???

i.e I only want formation 1 on if leading by 6+ goals otherwise I want the starting formation

At the moment I can bring the kids on but they then stay on the field for the remainder of the game

Standard formation: at start and winning 3-5 at any time
Formation 1 (Youth formation): winning 6+ at any time

Should do what you expect
