I just had an idea! Why not allow managers to make the substitutions and tactical changes they want while assisting a match. It shouldn't be too hard and I think it would make this game much more interesting.

I think many players of GI, THB and many other sport game simulation like the way it's done.
We are not forced to be online while the match is playing. You can play by connecting only one or two times in a week, having fun, and not be beaten by nerds who are connected 24/24...

do you mean, changes u can set in advance (like the line-up change?)

or while watching a match? because that would realy suck, not everybody has the time and the oppertunity to watch the matches.

And you can't go and reward someone just because he has more free time.

what i wanted to say, only you said it a bit better

We don't want the "nerds" to have advantage just because they have no real life and thus more time to be online.

+1 for what Artoupan sayed. I don't like this idea: the match engine is great . If you want to make tactical changes you have formation 1 and formation 2 .
