The dates are 3,4 and 5 (not 2,3 and 4)

Since everything must be done within 1 season there is not enough time to extend/prolong the games for 1 week. As it is now the games are on 3rd, 4th and 5th for group stages and 7th, 9th and 11th for knockout stages. Meaning the last match of the WC will be 2 days before the next season starts - Extending the pre-season for another week is something we are not prepared to do.

Perhaps random isn't the best way to select teams for world cup - but (as you already stated) it is the same for everyone involved and if you want to win the world cup you must be good enough to beat anyone

I am sorry to hear that you trained your players on very hard - but there is nothing we can do about it now.
