How have you done? Do you aim for coaches with 20 or lower?

A good player needs a good coach.

Thanks for the answer. So if I have a player with for example a rating of 15 and can get a maximum of 19, would I still benifit from a coach with skill of 10, or should I have a 20 coach to get anywhere? If I understood your earlier reply, a coach with 10 will still develop the player, since the training points help develop the player.

Thanks

In this game, the coach with 10 will also improve. As written in the FAQ. But that's not a good coach yet.

As stated in the FAQ, every coach helps your player improve. The higher its level, the more it help. It as simple as that and it do not depend in your player skill. But keep in mind that coaches alone do not make all the work, since work ethic also has a big role on this. Of course, not as big as the coach, but still important.

If the coach is good enough or not, it's completely up to. I wouldn't recommend you to change your coaches levels a lot of times, though, because very single time you do, you'll have to pay 2 salaries upfront, which is kind a waste of money just on experiences. My suggestion would be to you to make some calculations on your own and establish what would be good for you.

If that helps you, my coaches are as follow:

Attack - 20
Defense - 10
Technique - 5
Physical - 20
GK - 5

Attack and Physical are where you get the most attributes to train, so it makes sense to spend a lot of money in there. The other ones are strategic choices, but I would not recommend you to go higher than 10, since it's quite easy to reach the cap in there, since you have only 2 attributes to train in each one.

My biggest suggestion here is for you to read the entire Training section of the FAQ so you can get a broader vision on how it works and so you can make the best decision for your use case.

Lastly, to sum up everything, investing on coaches will always be the best ideia since the market has very little players due to low activity in the game.

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for that clear, educational and informative answer. Really appreciate it

I did the same conclusion as you regarding the split of level, even if I went a bit lower of level for cost reasons only. I will get that split a try for a season or two, and see the effects and if I dare to increase the level in the future.

As you mentioned regarding work ethic, my strategy has been to only go for players with reasonable level, if it is going to make any developments in the long run.

I will for sure read the Training FAQ once more. Really appreciate all of your help, thank you very much!

it doesnt matter so or so... i train with coaches with a strength from 20... all my players got a minimum talent from 4 stars and after 6 games in this season my goalkeeper for example couldnt hold 1 ball, my player on the circle doesnt made 1 goal in 6 games too... they are fit and the train status for this positions are near 100 %... and i cant pay that players and coaches with the maximum size of a stadium from 30.000 too... that game is only a good joke and latest at the end of that season i quit it so or so... plus nobody buy a player on the transfermarket and you get beat from team with players older than 50 years... one joke after the other... i thought i could train my players in lower leagues and start then after a long time again in higher leagues and the result is ridicolous... so forget tactic, fitneß, financial things... is like poltic nowadays... big show, nothing behind it...

very big problem: low energy - lots of players under max in your squad.
always should keep 100% for every player

Many managers make this mistake of training their players so that they do not have 100% energy. But a player who has a skill of 15 and has 80% energy, for example, plays as if he has a skill of 12. Because he lacks 20% energy at the beginning of the match.
