King_Leonidas has a legit complaint.

The LOC final has been glitched every season. It has rarely run in real time!

Respect due to Spartan 300, LOC heavyweight

Most will be fixed with the overhaul

If you as a game developer expect people to buy support for a game that has not been updated AT ALL for over 2 years... well, I dont really think you know how people work or that you are very sincere when you say that you want to do an improvement. You as developers have to first show us something then maybe we'll get interested to pay. Have you ever seen a kickstarter campaign???

You have all variables that goes on in the matches, every action and which players is involved. Presenting them in an informative way won't take +2 years.

Agreed, not denying that complaint ... also we got lots of problems with LOC / NT tables... I know (and again) not denying that.

But most of the stuff in King L.'s post about supporter and updates is way off. At least in my opinion.

Idea of Kickstarter (which didn't exist in 2009 anyway) is to pay for initial development of the product (game for example). Developers are paid in advance and never need to upgrade initial product in order to get that money. Correct?

Now, developers of THB paid for the whole initial development of THB, which took quite awhile, from their own pockets, did quite a lot of work in initial phase after release as well, and then saw the game is not getting support, even from the start, and even when user registrations were aplenty...

See the difference?

Otherwise, I can just say that please read my answer to King L.'s post.
I just don't have time to repeat myself over and over again.

Now for the bottom line, again, then I'll be off before this thing escalates any further

Yes, some valid complaints, we did quite a few f*** ups but, again, the game was barely supported from the start, even with thousands of users. Now try selling this argument to powers that be on the basis of "Let us pay again for the cost of a major quick upgrade and then we'll get paid!"... good luck with that.

The game was on the way to be scraped, but few of us decided to keep it alive and work on it as much as we can "after hours". This means slow progress (very slow in fact).
You want another truth? Even when we do install upgrades, we don't think we'll see a major increase in supporters. There's no shred of evidence from the past that would tell us otherwise. But as long as we feel at least a bit of fun in it, we'll continue to keep the game alive and running.

And you users? You are free to keep playing the game, even if you don't buy supporter account. But to accuse the few of us to not give a sh** is really not ok. If that was the truth, wouldn't it be easier for us to let the game be scraped?

And Chrill, I did notice you have supporter account, and It's much appreciated. Most of what's written is not aimed directly at you, just the beginning of this post

Now, I'm really off from this topic. I think I said everything there is on the subject anyway, and we need to schedule the THB World Cup qualifiers anyway.

Cheers guys/gals

Dear admin, I'll answer one by one.

- NO! The answer is clearly no. Just more fun things like on other online managers.

- I play similar games 10 years I think, just football and basketball, and their supporters bring much much more fun to the game so people buy them.
That what you mean are donations, not supporter, on other games you have an option if you want to donate money, on the other side you have a supporter, pay to have more statistics and other cool stuff. (not real advantage in game ofc).

- As I said, donations are one thing supporter an other. In supporter you pay to have futures that other players don't have.
I said it already, I paid for a supporter once, because I like this game, but then I saw just the logo ,shirts and to save more tactics (only useful on supporter), so I don't know what you expect, users to pay to have all the same as they that don't pay, I don't get it..

You ever saw supporter options on Hattrick or Buzzerbeater? games like this, just football and basketball? Maybe you can find there useful things to implement here.

- If people like the game why does it make them suffer? Look at my LOC final, then you will see why. For an example. It's definitely not perfectly playable.

You want one big BUG in this game?
In the FAQ there is written that every player in every match loose XY stamina every minute. So I play lets say 50 minutes a match and my and opponents players are tired ofc, I make a change, put great players in, fresh, similar quality, same tactic, nothing happen, often they play worse then the starting team, they should have a big advantage because they play against tired player who lost a lot of their stamina and my players are full 100%.

I tried this thousands times, and I claim that doesn't work. Changing the player is useless on HB.

Not to mention that sometimes I loose against an 10 times worse team then mine... Like last year in CUP, all his players where not even close to mine, I predicted what he will play, I lost. Is this a random? Does a random exist on HB? How the engine work? If you play my match 100 times, will the result in the end be the same every time? I would love to get this answer??

Thx for your free time, I hope I'll get an answer on my last paragraphs/questions, cheers

This is where we hold them!

That is kind of a strange statement.

The owners of this game give you a choice: support us by paying an account, or support us by viewing and maybe clicking ads.

For myself, I have made my choice, and support them by dealing with these ads.

I see absolutely no reason, why your right to complain should be anything different than my right to complain.

Their claim is "you can play for free." - well, I do so. If they dislike complains, they should have written "you can play for free, but only supporters can complain"

TeamHB never had enough supporters to even cover part-time dedicated developer on the project.
Actually, thinking about it and shuffling numbers, THB alone never covered 1/4 of one developer's wages
Yes, there were quite a few players at the beginning (couple of thousands), but never enough supporters.

...but my statement about never covering costs are based on facts, supported by raw financial data and database

per 2012-02-27
3058 Humans
Supporter (payed): 237

per 2017-02-27
Humans 608
Supporter (payed): 69

Yes, this performance is not the one you need to cover costs for full time development. However, you knew this for years, so don't make promisses you cannot keep. Check the Melderon homepage for more information

I apply this standard only to myself. Your argument are logical, but I still feel the obligation to be a paying customer before complaining, just as a personal preference.

I've played this game since 2011. I don't know if I am authorized to criticise it
Never mind
I just wanna thank you for keep running this game as you've said. I try to realize that it was hard decision to still invest in it.
There is obviously some mistakes which ought to be fix it but I know that you are working all day long and you have others activities. Of course I opt for development this game and I agree with guys who want to some changes but I try to understand that this game isn't so cost- efficient and you can't focus on only THB
In spite of everything I hope you will still go on running THB
cheers
