Ah the joys of being NT coach, angry messages from people with crap players who can't understand why they didn't get asked about a player I've never heard of.

Why nobody ask me for skills my goalkeeper Clinton Hughes (ID 320812) ???

Good job "coach"

lol, seems legit, I mean the guys salary is 3k per week, he's 181cm and very nervous top class goal keeper, he must be a superstar -_-

And he doesn't even play on that team as a sub. Easily good enough to start for our national team though right?

I think not.

3 games and not once has it played the lineup I put in. Something is messing up here, I even made sure I saved a default lineup which doesn't get played despite no injuries at all this week.

Not that I think we'd be winning anyway but it would help if we didn't have 2 goalies on the court at the same time.

I assume the issue sorted itself out? We went 'close' against Macedonia!

Well one lesson learnt, there's little point to setting a default lineup in a national team except for loading it. Because it certainly doesn't get used by default if I forget to explicitly set it.

So, after the most recent qualification tournament, I am very proud to say that our Aussie team achieved four amazing victories out of the six matches played against Latvia (2-0), Portugal (2-0) and France (0-2). Not only this is the first time our team wins an international game (four of them in a row), but we're qualified for the first time at the World Cup.

It's amazing to be among the best 16 teams since we've always been on the 32nd/the last spot and nobody gave us a chance, ever. However, I'm affraid this is as far as we can go with this current team. A large part of our team is made of players coming from bot-teams, so there's a lot of work to do. We have to reconstruct it from scratch and that's not an easy thing to do with ... like 2 active teams in the game.

For now this is an amazing qualification since we managed to leave home teams with better players, better resources and etc.

Our journey at the World Cup ended yesterday, after three matches in the main groups against some stronger teams. Our best match was the one against Belgium, where we took the lead in the first part, but in the end we lost by 4, 33-29. The other two games were rougher and we couldn't get too close: 19-36 against Russia and 25-36 against Germany.

There's not much to talk about after these matches. It's clear that the other 3 teams are way better prepared (better attack, better defence & better physical skills overall). However, it was nice to participate and compete against those top-level teams, rather than not playing at all. And ... at the end of the day, let us not forget, this was the 1st World Cup Australia ever qualified to, so there's a lot to improve.

Today our team won its first match after a while, 36-38 against Ukraine (#12 in the World Ranking)! This season we lost the 1st two games, 34-30 against Sweden (#1) and 38-41 against Latvia (#20). We'll see what happens next, hoping for at least one another victory in the three games left in this qualification group.
