is it what the americans 'evolved' into Basket ball? i seam to remember watching somethnig about where basketball came from.. but thought it was a german game....

The game came from Holland I think. And yeah america made it into basketball. Basketball looks way more spectacular, but IMHO korfbal is more difficult. Besides the fact that they don't have a plate behind the ring, and that it is higher and not dunkable, you also can't shoot when your defender has his hand above your ball. You can't run with the ball either.

That increases teamplay because 1 starplayer can't cut it.

I think korfball has all the aspects to be a great school/college sport, also due to the fact that it is the only uni-sex teamsport (if we don't take subwater hockey into account :crazy.

Deeproute is very good. Only problem is it's almost TOO in depth, and there's just not enough time in a day for a college student like me with a short attention span to be able to win.
